Super proud of our kids who participated in their 9th grade retreat! They attended the 11 Mass and then entered the hall for lunch. Our retreat focused on connecting with Jesus and each other and owning our faith.
After I presented to the teens on connecting with Jesus, the kids were assigned the task of tackling how Jesus would connect with us. They broke into 4 groups and and each had to created a Facebook, twitter, and Instagram page for Jesus.
The kids put a lot of thought into his profile page, friends, quotes, works and family. They did a great job and had a great time.
After presenting what Jesus would look like on social media, Fr. Chris talked to them about his faith journey as well as the faith experiences of saints like Maximilian, Ignatius, and Justin.
Fr. Chris was dynamic and relatable.
Our kids from St. James were joined by two students from Holy Family and one from St. Agathas. Retreat concluded at 2:30.
